What is Lifelong Community Living?

Housing: Availability of a variety of dwelling types and housing programs so that individuals of all ages, abilities, and incomes can find or remain in housing that meets their needs and preferences in the community of their choice. The housing stock must be affordable, safe, decent, and sanitary.

Economic Vitality: Encourage residents to work and spend in their community. Availability of jobs and retail services that are welcoming to all residents. Attract industry and commerce that employ individuals of all ages and experience levels. Support personal economic security through financial literacy and assistance.

Safety: Support public and community safety through appropriate design as well as programs such as neighborhood clean-ups, crime prevention strategies, community policing, crime watch, blight elimination programs, etc.
